Dear Loved Ones,
Planning a wedding is tough. It's hard to balance various cultures, traditions, and lifestyles to find something that works for everyone.
We feel incredibly blessed to have found a once-in-a-lifetime love. Our vision for our wedding weekend is to create lifelong memories in a beautiful space that allows us to release the stresses of our day to day lives and deeply connect with one another.
We are so excited to spend the long weekend sharing our Indian and Filipino heritage, listening to good music, eating delicious food, having great conversations, laughing, playing poker, dancing underneath the stars, running into the ocean, and above all having an endless amount of fun celebrating love and life.
We hope the following makes it easier for our guests to attend:
- Your children are welcome to join and the resort is family oriented
- All events will be between Friday night to Sunday so you do not have to take additional time off (unless you want to!)
-The resort just a short 10-minute ride away from the airport and transport can be booked along with room reservation
-We are deeply grateful for your choice to spend your time, money, and vacation days with us, and we do not expect any gifts
We're glad the hard part is over and can't wait to spend the rest of this year putting together the details to create the most amazing weekend for our friends and family to enjoy! If you are able to attend, we promise this will be a vacation you look back on fondly for years to come!
If you can't make it, that's okay. We look forward to making many more memories with you in the years ahead.
With love,
Ahana & Louie

About us
How we met
On 6/15/15, Ahana was in the PwC parking lot on the first day of her summer internship. She looked up to see Louie staring at her from 20 feet away and thought it would be good to walk over and make a new friend. She introduced herself to him, and he ran away.
Luckily/awkwardly enough they were seated next to each other once inside and found out they would be attending the same masters program at Cal Poly SLO in the fall.
How we fell in love
It only took: 2 internships, completing a masters in taxation program, attending 4 music festivals, becoming coworkers, becoming housemates, coparenting a cat, and spending everyday together for 1.5 years, for us to fall in love.
Our relationship
We have been dating for 7 years! Our favorite memories include: Raising our babies, Pico & Mila. Moving to 5 different places together until purchasing our first home in Los Angeles on 2/25/22. Going on adventures all over the world and watching our favorite sets together at festivals. Hosting Louie's annual pool party. Enjoying fine dining (LA top picks are Little Door, Camphor, Grandmaster Recorders). Bouncing future business ideas off of each other. Watching 9 seasons of Suits (on repeat). Making steak, hash browns, eggs and coffee for Sunday brunches on our rooftop.
The Proposal
Louie proposed to Ahana on 12/8/23, after the longest time they've spent apart since starting to date (2 weeks). Ahana was flying back to LA from Singapore and found Louie hovering outside their front door when she got home.
After she had last minute changed her flight to come home 12 hours earlier, he spent all night going to three different stores to get the most beautiful white candles and flowers and decorated all the way from the front door to their bedroom. In true Pico fashion, Pico found a way to be involved by sitting right next to the ring box.
Louie is...
(written by Ahana)
Pure sunshine. Anyone that meets Louie instantly feels his warm energy. He's incredibly charming, full of good vibes, and has pretty good jokes, pretty often. Louie makes magic in our garden, is plant dad to 30+ thriving bonsai (my favorite are the Brazilian raintrees) and has taught me how to have a deeper appreciation for life. Louie extends his meticulous approach to bonsai into many other daily practices, embodying great rigor and purpose. He is resilient, nurturing, uncannily intuitive, a talented storyteller, and the rock of our family. Louie's super powers include being very patient and also being able to fall asleep literally anywhere.
Ahana is...
(written by Louie)
A mystery box full of surprises. Sometimes she's wild, sometimes a little mischievous, and if you're lucky, you may catch her silly side. She's opinionated and categorically stunning. But the thing about her is that she's not just one thing and that's the real reason I fell in love with her. She has so much depth and character and could never be considered one-dimensional.
She's a whirlwind of a person, a real force - like right now she's relearning to play piano while I write this. She goes boxing, builds DIY furniture and is always working on another project. She can read as fast as a machine and whatever she puts her mind to, you can bet she'll get it.
But most of all, she's the quintessential love of my life.
Pico and Mila
Piccolo is a social butterfly. He was raised by the Silva family dogs (RIP Chewy and Maxi) and is known to run up and say hello to all new friends. He enjoys being in a loud house full of people and gets sad when guests leave. Pico loves to be involved in everything and can be found an inch away from whatever you are doing at all times. He loves eating string cheese, pizza, and pasta. Louie originally got Pico before the couple started dating, but the day Pico met Ahana he adopted her as his mom and moved into her room.
Mila is a pretty princess. She loves the color pink and is known to steal pink items to hide in her corner of the closet. Mila's other interests include licking plastic, getting theragun massages, making friends with hummingbirds, running on her wheel, ensuring both their coats are groomed to an impeccable standard, and sunbathing. Unlike Pico, Mila will only give you attention when she wants to (which is not often). She sleeps for most of the day, protects our house at night, and talks alot (including waking her parents up with loud excited meows in the morning). We got Mila as a teeny tiny 6 week old baby kitten three days after we started dating, and Pico raised her. Pico loves everyone, and Mila mostly only loves Pico.

Accommodations
AVA Resort Cancun
From the hotel group behind Nobu Hotel, comes Cancun's newest luxury all-inclusive resort Ava. This upscale property features more than 1,700 rooms, suites, and villas, a sprawling 2.8-acre sustainable man made lagoon for water activities, 3 pools, water parks, shopping boutiques, golf, and 17+ all inclusive bars/restaurants including fine-dining and casual experiences, as well as a nightclub, speakeasy, traditional Mexican cantina, and even an NFT Bar, where guests can sip creative cocktails and browse digital collections of art. The spa has 20k square feet of space for beauty treatments and wellness, including a hydrotherapy circuit, salon, and restoration lounge. The 4,000-plus-square-foot fitness center will have yoga, pilates, and spin classes. All accommodations are ocean facing, have private terraces, lounge areas, and two-person spa tubs. Higher room categories will offer private plunge pools and butler service.
We booked our wedding room block prior to the resort opening and have obtained a discount rate through our travel agents. This is all inclusive so you should not expect to spend any additional money (except for activities eg. golf) at the resort during your stay. Please ensure you are booking through our RSVP link so the weddings team can count you in our party.
You should not see a lower price point for AVA resort. We understand that this may not work for some budgets, and you can work with our travel agent to find other options if needed (not recommended as you will then need to purchase a resort day pass to attend the wedding). If you are attending solo, let us know and we can help coordinate accommodations.
Room bookings must be finalized by 12/31/24 to attend the wedding.
